The Sleep Disorders Center at Wesley Medical Center sits on Central Avenue in the College Hill area and runs overnight studies six nights a week. Heartland Sleep Diagnostics operates a second site on Maize Road near the Westlink neighborhood, where technicians record breathing patterns, heart rate and brain activity during eight-hour sessions. Both locations accept referrals from primary-care doctors and coordinate with the Sedgwick County Health Department’s wellness workshops held monthly at the downtown library branch on Main Street.

Patients at Wesley can complete follow-up visits the next morning on the same campus, while Heartland schedules a separate appointment within 48 hours at its Maize Road office to review results and recommend adjustments to evening routines.

A standard overnight study at either facility carries a listed price of $1,850 before insurance, with most plans covering the test when ordered for suspected apnea or insomnia. The American Academy of Sleep Medicine reported in its 2025 national survey that 22 million U.S. adults show signs of sleep apnea, a figure reflected in rising referral numbers at Wichita clinics since January.
